As a follow up to my article on “Upgrade Your Internship Search Game,” now we are sitting on the other side of the table. We have landed that dream internship, but, now what? Of course step one is to call that one person you don’t like to brag about your offer, however, more importantly, it is to figure out what preparation do YOU need to do beforehand to set yourself up for success from day one!

Below are my tips!

• Network! With the advent of social media and AI’s ability to scan the web, there are no excuses for not being able to get in touch with at least a couple employees from the company you will be working for. Ask them what has been their experience with the firm? Any cultural shock to keep an eye for? What about qualities the firm tends to value most? There are plenty of questions to ask to help get your skin in the game.
